19 TEMMUZ 1980: Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Başbakanlarından Nihat Erim suikastı. İsmail Nihat Erim, 1971-1972 yıllarında başbakanlık yapmış Türk Siyasetçi. 1943-1950 yılları arasında CHP milletvekilliği, Bayındırlık Bakanlığı, Başbakan Yardımcılığı görevlerini üstlendi. 19 Temmuz 1980'de İstanbul Dragos'taki evinin yakınında Dev-Sol militanlarınca düzenlenen suikast sonucu hayatını kaybetti.
