2 Ocak 1936 - SOYADI KANUNU YÜRÜRLÜĞE GİRDİ
Soyadı Kanunu, her Türk vatandaşına bir soyadı taşıma yükümlülüğü getiren 2525 sayılı kanundur. İsviçre'den alınarak düzenlenen kanun, 21 Haziran 1934 tarihinde kabul edilmiş, 2 Temmuz 1934 günü Resmi Gazete'de yayımlanmış ve 2 Ocak 1935′te yürürlüğe girmiştir. Bu kanunun kabulünden sonra soyadı, Türkiye'de kişilerin kimliğinin ayrılmaz bir parçası olmuştur.
