7 Ekim 1966 - İLK TÜRK OTOMOBİLİNE "ANADOL" ADI VERİLDİ
Anadol, Türkiye'de seri olarak üretilen ilk otomobil markasıdır. Türkiye'de tasarlanan ve üretilen ilk otomobilin Anadol olduğu düşünülür. Ancak Anadol'un tasarımı İngiliz Reliant firmasınca yapılmış (Reliant FW5) ve Otosan'da bu firmadan alınan lisansla üretim yapılmıştır. Anadol'un şasi, motor ve şanzımanları ise Ford'dan temin edilmiştir.
