TBMM Başkanı Mustafa Şentop'un anıta çelenk bırakmasının ardından bando eşliğinde saygı duruşunda bulunularak, İstiklal Marşı okundu. Törene, Ticaret Bakanı Mehmet Muş, TBMM Başkanvekilleri Haydar Akar, Celal Adan ve Nimetullah Erdoğmuş, partilerin grup başkanvekilleri, milletvekilleri ve TBMM bürokratları katıldı.
